America's Race - Leon's Triathlon
Leon’s Triathlon takes place in Hammond, Indiana at 2324 Calumet Ave and is presented as a multi-category triathlon event that honors Military, Veterans, and First Responders. The event series notes a long history of community ties and more than 40 years of continuity. It includes standard swim, bike, and run segments and features both individual and relay categories, plus a paratriathlon national qualifier and USAT military and first responder championships.
Packet pickup and pre-race activities are organized across the race weekend, with separate arrangements for youth and for Olympic and Sprint competitors. The organizer requests a valid photo ID and USAT membership card if applicable. The weekend program also lists a youth race, a non-timed 5k walk/run, open water swims, prerace course talks, and a canine triathlon event pending registration.
Registration windows and entry fees vary by category. Sample entry fees from the event list include $125 for Sprint and Olympic individual entries, $225–$250 for some relay categories, $160 for the paratriathlon qualifier, and fees for military and first responder championships.
