Lemurian Ascent Trail Run
The Lemurian Ascent Trail Run takes place on the forested slopes of Mt. Shasta Ski Park in Mount Shasta, CA. The course uses a mix of ski trails, service roads, and singletrack and is built around sustained climbing, flowing descents, and repeated efforts across the mountain. The event links lift-served areas of the ski area and moves from lift to lift across the mountain.
Distances
- 15 Miler - approx 14–15 miles, over 3,000 feet gain
- 4.5 Miler - roughly 4 miles with a significant climb and descent
The long course climbs to the top of each chairlift and showcases the vertical profile of the ski area, with wide mountain views and long runnable descents. The shorter option goes to the top of the Marmot lift and captures the same climb-and-descent format on a reduced route.
On race day the ski park hosts a Community Day with scenic chairlift rides, yard games, food, and an open bar. The event is professionally timed, courses are clearly marked, and fully supported aid stations will be provided. Guided post-run recovery yoga is offered on the mountain and includes a lift ride.
Exact course details are pending while remaining snow melts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
