This community event in Mount Shasta, California, includes multiple running and walking options held in the town near 411 N. Mt. Shasta Blvd. The event schedule spans July 3 and July 4 with packet pickup and late registration in Parker Plaza downtown on July 3 and the morning of July 4, and an awards ceremony on the same day as the races.
Distances offered:
- 5-Mile Race : fairly flat course with an uphill climb in the final mile; USATF certified course CA19031RS.
- 2-Mile Youth Race : for participants under 18; top three in each division receive ribbons.
- 2-Mile Fun Walk : family-oriented route with entertainment along the course.
Awards and finish items: the 5-Mile race awards the top three finishers in each division and all finishers receive medals. Youth race top three finishers receive ribbons and all youth finishers receive medals.
Registration and fees follow early, regular, and late pricing tiers for adults and youth. Race t-shirts are optional and must be ordered during early registration by June 10; no shirt orders are accepted after that date. Entry fees and early bird t-shirt orders are non-refundable. Optional registration insurance is available through a third-party provider. Registrations are entered into a drawing for prizes; presence is required to win.
