About the race
Lekotek Run is an annual community road race held at Brook Run Park in Dunwoody, GA. The 34th edition is scheduled for August 29, 2026. The event features multiple race options and a family oriented finish line party with refreshments, cartoon characters, and a moonwalk.
Race distances and divisions include:
- 5K Race (certified)
- 5K Wheelchair Division
- 1 Mile Fun Run
Registration is offered online and by mail. Entry fees are stated as $30 through August 1 and $35 thereafter and on race day; children under 12 pay the dollar amount of their age. Mail-in registration requires a printed form and mailing to the organization.
Awards are presented for overall and age group placings. The 5K includes overall male and female winners, masters prizes, team placement awards for 1st through 3rd, and 1st through 3rd place awards in male and female age groups: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80 and over. Virtual or phantom entries are not eligible for awards. The 1 Mile Fun Run gives overall 1st through 3rd place awards and medals and shirts to participating children; wheelchair division children receive the top overall awards.
