Lehigh Sabor Latino 5K
The Lehigh Sabor Latino 5K is a community road race and cultural event presented by Apex Promoz and Lehigh Acres Running Club. The event takes place at Veterans Park, 55 Homestead Rd S, Lehigh Acres, FL 33936, and features a 5K race. Course details are listed as coming soon.
The event includes live music with a DJ and emcee playing salsa, merengue, bachata, reggaetón, and other Latin styles, and it is described as family friendly and open to people of all backgrounds. Registered participants receive a custom event shirt and a commemorative finisher medal while supplies last.
Awards are given for overall places by gun time for 1st through 3rd place male and female, and age group awards by net chip time for 1st through 3rd place male and female. Age groups are 0–9, 10–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70+.
Apex Promoz’s Couples Dance Competition occurs immediately after the 5K awards ceremony and is presented by Fleet Feet Fort Myers. Packet pickup and late registration are scheduled the day before at Fleet Feet Bell Tower in Fort Myers and on race morning at Veterans Park.
