Legendary Lights 5K, 10K and Kids Run
The event takes place in Clifton, Ohio, at the Clifton Shelter House and runs north on Clay Street into the countryside along Tanyard Road, then returns to the Shelter House. The Historic Clifton Mill displays over 4 million lights that illuminate the mill, the gorge, the riverbanks, trees and bridges. Race registration includes admission to the nightly Legendary Lights Show and the Christmas Village for any evening during the 2026 season; after registering, participants can request an emailed ticket.
Distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Kids Run : 700 m (age 10 and under)
The 10K is new for 2026 and uses an out-and-back course that continues further on Tanyard Road. For safety in darkness, 10K participants must maintain a pace of 12:30 minutes per mile or faster; runners who cannot maintain that pace are advised to register for the 5K. The Kids Run is intended for children age 10 and under, can be one or two laps around the block, and does not require online preregistration if at least one parent or guardian is registered for the 5K or 10K; on-site check-in registration is available for children.
Organized by Run Bob Racing. On-site refreshments include hot chocolate and donuts, and a surprise Christmas gift is provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
