Legacy Protection 308
Legacy Protection 308 is an ultrarunning event held in Buffalo, NY at 2600 Harlem Rd. The event offers multiple road distances:
- 100M
- 63M
- 55M
- 40M
- 25M
The course runs through the city of Buffalo and crosses into Cheektowaga. It includes multiple loops around a park and returns to the finish at 308. Surface types include city streets, sidewalks, and the asphalt surrounding the park. Streets remain open to traffic and some sections require running on sidewalks where there are no bike lanes.
Two aid stations are provided, one in the park and one at the start/finish area. Participants may pass several mini markets along the route to restock supplies. After leaving the first aid station, participants are responsible for their own fuel until they reach the park approximately 12 miles later. Bright neon green cone markers are used on course and participants receive a laminated map for cross checking.
Runners are required to carry a flashlight or headlamp during night hours and reflective gear is highly advised. A GPS watch is recommended but not mandatory. All distances have a 34 hour cutoff. Entries receive swag bags; 100M finishers receive a buckle. Overall 1st through 3rd place awards are given for each distance. The race is non refundable but entries may be transferred until 15 days before the event. The event serves as a fundraising event for the homeless community. Registration closes Dec 14, 2026.
