Leeds MoRun at Roundhay Park
Leeds MoRun is a series of timed community runs at Roundhay Park that raises awareness and funds for Movember and men's health issues, including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention. The event offers multiple distances and includes a fully chip timed system.
Distances:
- 1.5 km Mini MoRun
- 5 km MoRun
- 10 km MoRun
- Half marathon
The course is hilly and mainly on paths with sections of trail. The 5 km is one lap, the 10 km is two laps, and the half marathon is four laps plus an additional 1.1 km section. The route is dog friendly, not suitable for wheelchair users, and buggy friendly with off road buggies recommended.
Participants receive race items such as a MoRunning medal and a headband, race chip timing, and post‑race drinks and sweets. There are awards and spot prizes for categories including best dressed and fastest moustache, plus reward points and entry into prize draws. Mini MoRunners have their own medals, chip timing, and specific prizes for finishing boys and girls.
Event facilities noted include on site toilets near the event hub, limited bag storage under manned gazebos, and limited parking around the park. Marshals are positioned along the course and water is available for runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
