Lee Valley Velo Park Road Races
The Lee Valley VeloPark series takes place at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London. This event utilizes a one-mile floodlit road circuit originally designed for the 2012 Olympic Games. The course features a tarmac surface and a gently undulating profile with an elevation of 15 meters per lap. Because the course consists of a one-mile Moto GP styled loop, participants track their progress through multiple laps depending on their chosen distance.
The event offers a variety of race distances:
- Half Marathon: 13 laps
- 10 Miles: 10 laps
- 10k: 6 laps
- 5k: 3 laps
- 1 Mile & Junior Race: 1 lap
Each mile split is chip-timed, and participants can view their results after the race. There are no pacers provided for this event. An event village is available on-site, offering various food and drink options. All participants receive a themed medal, free race photos, and post-race goodies at the finish line. Marshals are positioned along the circuit to guide runners through the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
