Leavenworth Trail Fest
Leavenworth Trail Fest is a trail running weekend on May 29, 2027 in Leavenworth, Washington, centered at the Leavenworth Ski Hill Area. The event is organized by Mountain Running Races and includes multiple race distances and festival activities.
Distances offered:
- Ski Hill 50k
- Skyline 25k (Elite, Masters, Sport)
- The Town 5k
- Kids Race
The Skyline 25k was redesigned for 2026 as a loop on the north side of Tumwater Mountain with about 3,700 feet of elevation gain. The route climbs local ridgelines including a section known as The Nut, reaches Tumwater Ridge near the paraglider launch, and descends toward Freund Canyon before returning to the festival area. The 25k participates in the Vert Running Series and awards Elite, Sport, and Masters divisions; Elite podium eligibility requires a cutoff of 2:45:00.
The Ski Hill 50k follows two laps of the 25k Skyline course with about 7,500 feet of elevation gain. The 50k course includes seven aid stations and a 10-hour cutoff.
Finishers in the 25k and 50k may choose a custom finisher award or have three trees planted on their behalf. All 25k and 50k runners receive a post-race meal. Festival features include packet pickup at the Ski Hill Lodge, group runs, live music, a Trail Family Food Tent, a kids race, and other community activities. Volunteer shifts earn a $20 credit per hour usable on future events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
