About the race
Leavenworth Trail Fest is a mountain trail racing weekend in Leavenworth, Washington, organized by Mountain Running Races and scheduled for May 29, 2027. The event center is the Leavenworth Ski Hill Area at 10701 Ski Hill Drive.
Races use ridgelines and trails north of town and feature a mix of alpine ridges, forest service roads, and fast, flowy singletrack with views of the Eastern Cascades. Distances offered include:
- 50K Ski Hill two loops of the 25K course
- 25K Skyline loop on the north side of Tumwater Mountain
- The Town 5K trail course for families and beginners
- Kids Race short youth events
Course details: the Skyline 25K lists about 3,700 ft elevation gain and begins at the Ski Hill Area. The Ski Hill 50K lists about 7,500 ft elevation gain, consists of two 25K loops, includes seven aid stations, and has a 10-hour cutoff. The 25K participates in the Vert Running Series with Elite, Masters, and Sport divisions and age-based awards. Awards are given to top finishers across divisions and top point scorers at the high point receive gear prizes.
Festival features include packet pickup at the Ski Hill Lodge on Friday, a Trail Family Food Tent with a post-race meal for 25K and 50K participants, music, community activities, and volunteer opportunities with credit rewards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
