Leaf Stomp 2026
Leaf Stomp 2026 is a non-competitive hiking event held at the Mauthe Lake Recreation Area in the Kettle Moraine State Forest - Northern Unit near Campbellsport, WI. Routes follow sections of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail and return to the Mauthe Lake Recreation Area. Participants are transported by shuttle to their chosen starting points.
Each route features aid and refreshment stations and road crossing guards. The event is organized as a fundraiser for the Friends of the Kettle Moraine and will take place rain or shine. Dogs are not permitted.
Age guidance is provided for longer routes: the 22 plus mile and 15-mile routes are suggested for participants over 16 years old. Minors younger than 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is managed with capacity limits for each route and associated fees.
