Leadville Firecracker 5K - July 4, 2026

The Leadville Firecracker 5K takes place in Leadville, Colorado on July 4. The course is a 5 kilometer (3.1 mile) loop that starts and finishes in downtown Leadville near West 5th and Harrison Avenue. Participants may run or walk the course. After the event, spectators can watch the Independence Day parade that follows downtown activities.

Bib pickup is available at the corner of Harrison Avenue and 5th Street on race morning. Proceeds from the event support Leadville youth athletics and recreation programs, including Children's Fishing Day and the Nordic team.
