Leadville Trail Marathon & Heavy Half : June 27, 2026
The Leadville Trail Marathon and Heavy Half take place on out-and-back dirt roads and single track through the historic mining district on the east side of Leadville. The course reaches Mosquito Pass at 13,185 feet and may include snow in places. Courses are marked with fluorescent pink-and-black ribbon and flour arrows on the ground.

- 15.4 miles Heavy Half follows the same path minus the Ball Mountain section
The Marathon offers seven aid stations along the route; the Heavy Half has three aid stations. Aid stations carry products from Neversecond and Skratch Labs, including sports drink mixes, energy gels, bars, and chews. The Marathon is a qualifier for the Leadville Trail 100 Run; at least 35 qualifier coins are available at each qualifier event and are awarded to finishers of the longest distance who meet eligibility requirements.
Crew and spectator access on course is limited to the start/finish area and the Resurrection aid station. Resurrection can be reached from community parking via 7th Street or by crew shuttles from the start area. All athletes and crews must use designated parking at Community Fields and the High School and take shuttles to the start; there is no parking at the startline.
Minimum ages are 16 for the Marathon and 14 for the Heavy Half. General registration is listed as sold out; posted entry fees were Marathon $160 and Heavy Half $140. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
