Lawrence Hometown Heroes 5K
The Lawrence Hometown Heroes 5K is the third annual run and walk held on September 13, 2026, at the Lawrence Elks Lodge #65, 652 Andover Street, Lawrence, MA. The event is presented in memory of two local law enforcement officers and is organized to support a memorial fund that carries on their legacy.
The memorial fund supports local and national charities. Past and ongoing beneficiaries include Operation Delta Dog, Learn to Cope, Smile Train, the Wonderfund, My Life My Choice, the Billerica Boys and Girls Club, the Lawrence Boys and Girls Club, Special Olympics, and the Police Unity Tour. The fund has also supported local gift drives for seniors, veterans, and youth.
Race logistics note that the 5K run and walk start and finish at the Lawrence Elks Lodge #65. Registration fees are listed as $35 for pre-registration and $40 for on-site registration. Race shirts are guaranteed for runners and walkers who register by August 18, 2026. Registration includes post-race food.
On race day, raffle tickets and event gear are offered for sale, and a 50/50 raffle is planned. All proceeds from the event benefit charitable activities that honor the memory and service of the officers commemorated by the memorial fund.
