Lawndale 5K 2026
The Lawndale 5K is an annual walk and run held in the North Lawndale neighborhood of Chicago. The 2026 edition is the event's 18th annual occurrence and is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026. The course is based on Ogden Avenue, also known as Route 66, which is marking its 100th anniversary in 2026.
Organized by Lawndale Christian Health Center and Lawndale Christian Fitness Center, the event combines community activity with fundraising for local wellness initiatives. The proceeds support fitness and wellness programs in North Lawndale, including the FitnessRx program that provides free fitness center memberships for Lawndale Christian Health Center patients with chronic illness.
