Laurel Park Turkey Day 5K and Fun Run
The Laurel Park Turkey Day 5K and Fun Run is the 18th annual non competitive charity event held at 530 Georgetown Drive NW, Concord, NC. The event includes a 1 mile fun run/walk and a 5K run/walk, plus a shirt only registration option.
Entry fees are listed by age: adults 13 and up $30, children 12 and under $20. The shirt only option is $20 and is available through Nov 11. Entry fees increase by $5 after Nov 11. Shirts are guaranteed for registrations submitted by Nov 11; limited shirts are available while supplies last.
The event supports the Junior Charity League of Concord as the primary charity and collects non perishable items for the Second Harvest Backpack Program at Weddington Hills Elementary School. Suggested items include rice, pastas and sauces, cereals, canned fruits and vegetables, canned proteins, peanut butter and jelly, crackers, canned soup, dried beans, pancake or waffle mix and syrup, and pre packaged snacks.
A Toddler Trot is offered without registration. In person registration and packet pickup are available on the days before and the day of the event at the Laurel Park clubhouse. All races start and finish by the tennis courts on Georgetown Drive.
There are no refunds of registration fees. The event will occur rain or shine unless canceled in extreme circumstances; in that case fees will be used as charitable donations and race packets may still be collected. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
