University City Turkey Trot
The University City Turkey Trot is a community running event held in Charlotte, North Carolina on November 26, 2026. The event takes place at 3024 Prosperity Church Road and benefits Sickle Cell Partners of the Carolinas, a 501c(3) organization that supports patients and families affected by sickle cell disease and works to raise awareness and advocate for a cure. Donations to the beneficiary are tax deductible.
Distances offered:
- 5K run and walk
- 1K fun run for children
The event includes a post-race gathering with food, drinks, games, and music. A costume contest is part of the program with three prizes awarded. Race awards include first, second, and third overall finishers and first and second place male and female in each age category. Every participant is guaranteed a medal. Participants who register by Friday, November 6, 2026 at noon are included in the tee shirt order.
