This event is held on private property adjacent to the Big River Management Area in West Greenwich, Rhode Island. The exact site address is provided to registrants and their crews. The race uses a repeated-loop format on the same course. Each lap must be completed in less than 60 minutes to earn the right to continue to the next lap. The loop is run repeatedly under the same rules until only one runner remains eligible to start the next lap. To be declared the Last Human Standing, the final athlete must be present at the starting line for the next lap and complete one more loop than the second to last athlete who failed to continue.
