About the race
The 36th Last Blast Prediction 5K is a run/walk held at Grove Park in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware on September 5, 2026. The event is organized by Seashore Strider Event Production, Inc. and benefits the Seashore Strider Youth Programs.
The course is a 5k (3.1 miles) out and back route that heads toward North Shores and returns to Grove Park. Participants are asked to remain on the far right side of the road while heading to North Shores.
Registration options and fees are published for the event. Early bird registration is listed at $30 through August 23, with a pre-race fee of $35 for a later registration period and a $40 race day fee. Registrations processed by August 31 are guaranteed a t-shirt; after that date, swag is available on a first-come basis. Registration can be completed online or by mail using the organizer’s paper form and mailing address.
Scoring for the 5k follows a time-prediction format: entrants predict a finish time during registration and the top 20 finishers closest to their prediction receive awards. Use of watches, phones, tracking devices, and headphones is not permitted for the prediction contest.
Post-race activities include a live awards ceremony at Grove Park and presentation of Championship Series awards. The event has a no-refund policy but offers transfer, donation, and deferral options. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
