Course and race rules
The course is a ten mile loop in a rural setting, run mainly on B and C class roads and unclassified routes. The route starts to the west of Rosewell village, passes Gourlaw Farm, drops into Roslin Glen around two miles with a 400 metre steep rise, reaches Auchendinny at four miles, includes a climb between five and six miles, a small hump near seven miles, and then is generally downhill back into Rosewell. Walkers, wheelchair athletes and runners with baby joggers are not accepted.
Entry, fees and logistics
The event has a maximum entry of 400. No entries are accepted on the day and entry fees are non-refundable except in specified postponement circumstances. Early entry fees valid until 31 December 2025 are £16 for those registered with Scottish Athletics and £18 for those who are not. Fees from 1 January 2026 are £20 and £22. A service fee of 4% (minimum 50p) applies to each sign-up. Registration is at Ferguson Park and race numbers are available to collect on the day.
