Altadena Forever Run : January 10, 2027
The Altadena Forever Run is a community running event held in Altadena, California, at Mariposa Junction (Mariposa Street between El Molino Avenue and Lake Avenue). The event commemorates the two-year anniversary of the Eaton Fire and is organized in partnership with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Athletic Association (LASAA) and the Sheriff’s Support Group of Altadena (SSGA). The Mug Run series supports station communities and has included broader community participation since 1993.
Courses include neighborhood and foothill streets with volunteer support along the routes. The 5K extends into lower foothill neighborhoods east of Lake Avenue, passing residents and volunteers. The 10K follows the 5K route, adds views of the San Gabriel Mountains, returns toward the historic Mariposa business district, and passes Charles White Park before finishing back on Mariposa Street. The 1K Family Run starts at El Molino Avenue, passes the Altadena Library, and loops back to Mariposa Street; children 10 and under participate free. A Fire Survivors 1K is also offered with no entry fee.
Packet pickup is at Grocery Outlet – Altadena, 2270 Lake Avenue, with pickup days on January 7–9, 2027 and listed pickup times. Donations and funds raised through the Altadena Forever Community Fund are designated solely for Eaton Fire survivors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
