About the race
The Altadena Forever Run takes place in Altadena, California on January 10, 2027. The event is part of the LASAA Mug Run series, organized by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Athletic Association to promote health, fitness, and camaraderie among members and the public.
LASAA organizes Mug Runs with individual sheriff’s stations across the county. The Mug Run series began in 1993 with about 10 runners per race and has grown to more than 300 participants. This edition, hosted by Altadena Station, is dedicated to the two-year anniversary of the Altadena Eaton Fire.
Distances offered:
- 10K (6.2 miles): follows the 5K route, with views of the San Gabriel Mountains and return to Mariposa Street.
- 5K (3.1 miles): extends into lower foothill neighborhoods east of Lake Avenue with volunteers and resident support.
- 1K Family Run (0.62 mile): starts at El Molino Avenue, passes the Altadena Library, and loops back to Mariposa Street.
- Fire Survivors 1K (1K): a short course intended for survivors and families.
Proceeds will be directed to the Altadena Station Unit Fund to support initiatives linked to the Eaton Fire Survivors organization and programs of the Altadena Sheriff’s Support Group.
