Altadena Forever Run - 5K / 10K
The Altadena Forever Run is a community-based charity event that honors and remembers the Altadena Eaton Fire of January 7, 2025. Organized by the Altadena Sheriff’s Station with local partners, the event for 2027 is scheduled for Sunday, January 10, 2027.
The course winds through the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains and Altadena’s historic neighborhoods. Runners begin on Mariposa Street beneath deodar cedars, climb toward the foothills along Altadena Drive, and pass tree-lined streets near the burn zone and areas in various stages of rebuilding. The route includes views of Eaton Canyon and passes Charles White Park before returning to the Mariposa Junction finish area, where music, local food, and community booths are provided. The event uses a closed course.

- 5K Walk/Run (3.1 miles)
- 10K Run (6.2 miles)
Event logistics and support: the course has a two-hour time limit. No pets are allowed on the course; strollers start behind runners and wheelchair racers start at the front. The event proceeds support Altadena Eaton Fire survivors through a designated relief fund and also support the Sheriff's Support Group of Altadena, both 501(c)(3) organizations. The run is a rain or shine event and is held in partnership with the Los Angeles Sheriff Athletic Association; it is not sanctioned by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
