Lane Purser Memorial Road Race Series
The Lane Purser Memorial Road Race Series is the 44th annual road race series presented by the Memphis Runners Track Club. The series runs across multiple dates from July through November 2026 and includes repeated events at a range of distances in different parks around Memphis and Shelby County.
The series features multiple individual race dates at these distances:
- 5k races (3.1 miles)
- 5 mile races
- 10k races (6.2 miles)
- 10 mile races
- Half marathons (13.1 miles)
Races take place at several local venues named in the event information, including Audubon Park near the Cancer Memorial, WJ Freeman Park in Bartlett, Shelby Farms Park gate 10 near the horse stables, Shelby Forest State Park shelter six, and a downtown course near Martyrs Park that crosses the Big River Crossing pedestrian bridge.
Registration options include full series entries and single-race entries. Published fees include a full series rate for Memphis Runners Track Club members and a non-member full series rate, a mini-series option for children age 12 and under, and single-race fees. Packet pick-up for full series registrants who register by June 19 will be mailed before the series begins; mailed materials will be sent starting June 27. In-person packet pick-up is scheduled at Fleet Feet Memphis on July 11 from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and race morning pick-up is available at each event.
