The Laketown Distance Festival Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Kenner Lakefront on Lake Pontchartrain at the end of Williams Blvd. The event benefits the Rotary Club of Kenner and is produced by Lazy Hound Racing. Distances offered are:

- 10 Mile
All participants receive chip timing, a long-sleeve poly-cotton t-shirt, a custom finisher medal, and post-race refreshments. Packet pickup is scheduled for Thursday, January 23, 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Ron Jewelers, 4103 Williams Blvd, Kenner.
Course, services and logistics
The 10 Mile course is USATF-RRTC certified (Certification # LA14016JF). The course uses a paved lakefront jogging path that is about 9 feet wide. There are numerous aid stations on course and a lead bike for each distance. The 10 Mile distance has a time limit of 2 hours, 45 minutes. The event offers free parking at lakefront parking lots and on the south side of the levee between Williams Blvd and the Pontchartrain Center.
Post-race food and drink include pancakes and sausage prepared by the Rotary Club, a mimosa bar, coffee, beer, soft drinks, and other treats provided by sponsors. The organizer requests that participants be respectful on the narrow path and consider leash and placement rules if bringing dogs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
