Race details and logistics
Distances offered:
- 5K
- 10K
- 10 Mile
All participants receive chip timing, a long sleeve poly-cotton race shirt, a custom finisher medal, and post-race breakfast items. The 10 Mile course is USATF-RRTC certified (Certification # LA14016JF) and has a course time limit of 2 hours 45 minutes. The course runs on a paved lakefront jogging path about 9 feet wide, with numerous aid stations and a lead bike for each distance. Organizers advise keeping to the right on out-and-back sections, using on-course trash cans, and being considerate of other runners and walkers. Pets are allowed but are not recommended on the narrow path; dogs should start in the back of the pack and be kept on a short leash if brought. There is free parking at lakefront lots near the race site and on the south side of the levee between Williams Blvd and the Pontchartrain Center. Sponsors and post-race food partners are listed by the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
