Lakeside Park 8K Run/Walk is an 8K loop trail event at Lakeside Park, 1500 Piedmont Hwy, Piedmont, SC on May 2, 2027. The course runs on soft, natural trails with some single-track mountain biking sections and a central hub that keeps the route easy to follow through the forest.

There are restrooms at the start/finish and no formal gear check. There are no aid stations on course; water and refreshments are provided at the finish.
Event services include chip timing with live results, a custom race bib, and a race-branded finisher medal for every finisher. Post-race offerings include pancakes, music, event-themed giveaways, a race sticker, a custom race tattoo, and complimentary professional race photos posted within about 48 to 72 hours. Top three overall finishers by gender receive trophies and age group awards are given to the first three in each of 15 age categories.
The race counts toward the Upstate Trail Series and Upstate Youth Series and supports New Foundations Home for Children. Registration opens 2026-09-01, closes 2027-03-31, with a listed registration fee of $32.00. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
