The Lakeside Park 8k Run/Walk takes place on May 3, 2026 at Lakeside Park in Piedmont, SC (1500 Piedmont Hwy, Piedmont, 29673). The event program includes a 8k run/walk and a separate Sponsorship & Vendor Opportunities entry. Donations and race proceeds will support the Upstate Running Club Youth Team.
Course, registration and features
The course is described as a loop of natural trails, about 5 miles, with some single-track sections. Awards include top three overall male and female trophies and 1st–3rd place age group awards. Age groups range from 0–9 up to 80+.
Registration details: entry listed at $29 (strikethrough price $40) and Sponsorship & Vendor registration listed at $100; registration opens January 1, 2026. Included with registration are a finisher medal, free professional race photos, a custom race bib, event giveaways, a race sticker, post-race pancakes, and chip timing with live results. Race shirts are sold separately. Policies allow transfers and distance changes through a participant RunSignUp profile. No refunds or deferrals are offered unless the event sells out; if sold out, a 50% off code for a future Upstate Race Series event may be requested.
