Lakeside Classic
The Lakeside Classic takes place at Burnaby Lake in British Columbia. This summer running event features a fast and flat course situated alongside the water. Participants can expect a high-standard race experience with live results, on-course photography, and chip timing.
The following distances are available:
- 10 km: A certified and measured course with chip timing.
- 1 km Kids Race: A free run with bibs provided, though it is unchipped.
All participants receive a finisher medal after crossing the line. The event provides post-race refreshments including snacks and cold drinks. Grand prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers during the awards ceremony. The race site also hosts various vendors and sponsor booths.
This event supports Childhood Cancer Canada, and a fundraising platform is available for participants and donors. The race is scheduled to proceed regardless of weather conditions, unless specified otherwise by the City of Burnaby or Metro Vancouver Parks.
