Lakeland Paws: Tour de Whinlatter
Lakeland Paws: Tour de Whinlatter is a forest trail event in Whinlatter forest on 4 April 2027. It is part of the Lakeland Paws series and is listed as the seventh event in a nine-event series organized by Green Space Events Ltd.
The routes run on wide forest tracks through quieter parts of the forest, contouring around Whinlatter Top. Surfaces are described as non-technical and generally runnable, though the terrain remains somewhat lumpy.
Available distances:
- 9 km with about 380 m ascent
- 12 km with about 500 m ascent
Dogs are welcome; they must be run on a suitable harness. Kit to borrow is provided by Non-Stop Dog Wear. Runners may also compete without dogs. The event is chip timed and marked. GPX course files are available for download. The minimum age to enter is 16 or older. Entry is handled through SiEntries and the stated entry fee is £20. Entries open 27 April 2026 and close 3 April 2027.
