Lakeland Paws: Tour de Whinlatter

Lakeland Paws: Tour de Whinlatter is scheduled for 4 April 2027 in Whinlatter forest. It is the seventh event in a nine-event Lakeland Paws series and is organised by Green Space Events Ltd. The event has a minimum age of 16 and an entry fee of £20. Entries open 27 April 2026 and close 3 April 2027.

Two route options are offered:

9 km with 380 m ascent
12 km with 500 m ascent

Both routes follow wide forest tracks through quieter, less well known parts of Whinlatter and contour around Whinlatter Top. The ground is described as non-technical and mainly runnable, though sections are still a bit lumpy. The courses are marked and chip timed. GPX files are available for download.

Dogs may run on the courses when fitted with a suitable harness. Equipment to borrow is available from Non-Stop Dog Wear. Runners may compete without dogs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
