Lakeland Paws: Tour de Whinlatter takes place on 29 March 2026 and is part of the fourth Lakeland Paws series (event 7 of 9). The event is organised by Green Space Events Ltd. The minimum age is 16 and the entry fee is £19. Entries open 25 July 2025 and close 28 March 2026.
Course and race information
The route tours around Whinlatter Top on wide forest tracks in quieter parts of the forest. The ground is described as non-technical but somewhat lumpy. The event offers two distance options:
- 9k, with 380 m of ascent
- 12k, with 500 m of ascent
The course will be marked and the event is chip timed. GPX files and route maps are available. Dogs may run but must be on a suitable harness; harnesses and kit are available to borrow from Non-Stop Dog Wear. Runners may compete without dogs.
