Lakeland Paws: Grizedale half marathon
This event is the first half marathon offered by Lakeland Paws in its fifth season, held at Grizedale Forest. The route mainly uses wide forest pathways with some single-track sections and runs across both sides of the forest, providing views over Coniston Water. A shorter 12 km option remains on the west side of the forest.

The event has no cut-offs. It is chip timed and the course will be marked. GPX files are available for download. The minimum age is 16 years. Entry fee is £20. Entries open on 27 April 2026 and close on 6 March 2027.
The description notes varied elevation across the course; while several sections are runnable, the route is not flat. Participants may run with up to two dogs or run without a dog. Both a full half marathon and a shorter option are offered on the same day at Grizedale Forest. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
