Lakeland Paws: Grizedale Growl

Lakeland Paws: Grizedale Growl is an off-road running event at Grizedale Forest, set on the east side of the forest, taking place on 3 January 2027. It is part of Season 5 and is the second Grizedale event in that season.

The event offers two course options on wide forest paths. Both routes are fully marked and the event is chip timed. GPX files are available for download. There are no cut offs.

10K with 260 m of ascent
6K with 150 m of ascent

The shorter option avoids some of the ascent and is recommended for beginners or those seeking a shorter route for their dogs. Runners may take part with or without dogs; up to two dogs per runner are allowed on this course and all dogs must be run on a suitable harness.
