Lakeland Paws: Grizedale Growl, 1 November 2026
Lakeland Paws: Grizedale Growl is a trail running event in Grizedale Forest on the south side of the forest with views over Coniston Water. It is part of the Lakeland Paws series, Season 5, and is one of nine events in the season. This edition is the series second event.
The course uses wide forest paths, forest roads and trails. Individual starts are used so dogs have space at the start. Runners may compete with or without dogs. When running with dogs, competitors must use a suitable harness and the course permits two dogs per runner.
There are two marked and chip timed course options:
- 10K loop, 250 m ascent
- 5K, 180 m ascent
GPX files are available for download. The event has a minimum age of 16 or older. Entries open 27 April 2026 and close 31 October 2026. The published entry fee for this event is £20.
