Lakeland Paws: Grizedale Growl
This event is part of Lakeland Paws Season 5 and is the second of up to nine events in the series. It takes place in Grizedale Forest on the south side of the forest and offers views over Coniston Water. The courses use a mix of forest roads and trails and run mainly on wide forest paths.
There are two distance options:
- 10K 250 m ascent, loop on wide forest paths.
- 5K 180 m ascent, shorter route avoiding some ascent.
The course is fully marked and the event is chip timed. GPX files are available for download. The layout and wide paths allow up to two dogs per runner on this course; all dogs must be run on a suitable harness. Runners may also compete without dogs. The event has a minimum age of 16 or older and an entry fee of £20. Entries open 27 April 2026 and close 31 October 2026. The event is organised by Green Space Events Ltd.
