Lakeland Paws Grizedale Growl takes place on 8 February 2026 at Grizedale Forest (LA22 0QJ). The event is organised by Green Space Events Ltd and is the second Lakeland Paws event at Grizedale in season 4. Entries open on 25 July 2025 and close on 7 February 2026. The minimum age is 16 and the entry fee is £19. The event is chip timed.
Course and rules
The course is set on the east side of Grizedale and runs on wide forest paths. The route will be fully marked and GPX files are available for download. Runners may compete with or without dogs; up to two dogs per runner are allowed on this course and all dogs must be run on a suitable harness.
Distances:
- 10K - 260 m ascent
- 6K - 150 m ascent
The shorter option avoids some of the ascent and is intended for those seeking a shorter route. Participants must register or log in with SiEntries to enter. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
