Lakeland Paws: Dogs@ Dodd
This event takes place in Dodd Wood as part of the Lakeland Paws series in its fifth season. The course is fully marked and runs on a mix of forest roads and trails. Events use individual starts for each athlete so dogs have space at the start. The route climbs and then contours around the summit of Dodd, followed by a run down that offers views toward the Coledale Fells and nearby lakes.
Most of the route is on wide trails so two dogs per runner are permitted in those sections. Some parts are narrower and the final descent is relatively steep, so runners need to manage pace. All dogs must run on a suitable harness. Runners may also choose to compete without dogs.

- 8K loop, 370 m ascent
- 5K option, 210 m ascent
