Lakeland Paws: Dogs@ Dodd
Lakeland Paws: Dogs@ Dodd takes place at Dodd Wood on 4 October 2026 as part of the series’ fifth season. The event uses a fully marked course across forest roads and trails and is chip timed. GPX files are available for download.
The route climbs and then contours around the summit of Dodd, with views toward the Coledale Fells. The terrain is lumpy and includes a relatively steep final descent; much of the course runs on wide trails. Individual starts are used so each dog has room at the start. Two dogs per runner are permitted on the wider sections, but some parts are narrower and all dogs must be run on a suitable harness. Runners may participate without dogs.
Distances and elevation:
- 8K loop with 370 m ascent
- 5K option with 210 m ascent
Additional event details include a minimum age of 16 and an entry fee of £20. Entries open on 27 April 2026 and close on 3 October 2026. The event is part of a nine event series following the same format. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
