Three Shires Fell Race
The Three Shires Fell Race, organized by Ambleside AC, is a challenging 22km (12.4 miles) mountain running event with a 1,535m (4,003ft) ascent, held annually in September. The race starts and finishes at Tilberthwaite Farm, passing through notable points such as Lingmoor, Pike of Blisco, Three Shires Stone, Great Carrs, and Wetherlam. Participants must carry essential navigation and safety equipment, as GPS use is prohibited.
