L100 Recce 4: Pooley Bridge - Ambleside
L100 Recce 4 takes place on 14 June 2026 and is organised as part of the Lakeland 50 & 100 recce series. The event base is Dalemain Mansion, Dalemain, Cumbria, CA11 0HB. Entry is limited to people who already hold a confirmed place in the Lakeland 100 or 50 for 2026; other entries will be cancelled and refunded less a £5 administration fee. The minimum age for entry is 18. The entry fee is £30. Entries open 25 September 2025 and close 11 June 2026.
Route and logistics
The recce covers the first half of the Lakeland 50 route and follows the course from Pooley Bridge to Ambleside, a distance of 26 miles. The route includes climbs to Mardale Head and Kentmere before reaching Ambleside. The recce fee includes coach transport, medical support and basic refreshments at checkpoints. Full kit is required as specified on the event website, and there are cut off times at checkpoints, so participants must be prepared to meet those cut offs.
