L100 Recce 4: Pooley Bridge to Ambleside
L100 Recce 4 is a recce day on 14 June 2026 that follows part of the Lakeland 50 and 100 routes. The recce covers 26 miles from Pooley Bridge to Ambleside and includes the climbs to Mardale Head and Kentmere before reaching Ambleside. This section represents the first half of the Lakeland 50 route.
Registration for each recce day costs £30 and the fee includes coach transport, medical support and basic refreshments at checkpoints. Full kit is required and there are checkpoint cut off times, so participants must ensure they are fit enough to meet those cut offs. Full details will be sent out one week before the event.
Entry requires logging in or registering with SiEntries. Only runners who have been confirmed as having a place in the Lakeland 100 or 50 2026 should register for this recce; entries made by unconfirmed runners will be cancelled, the entry fee returned less an admin charge of £5, and future entry opportunities may be affected. Entries opened on 25 September 2025 and close on 11 June 2026.
