L100 Recce 3: Buttermere - Dalemain
The Lakeland 100 Recce 3 is an organized route familiarization day specifically for participants of the Montane Lakeland 100 event. This training run covers a 33 mile section of the 100 course, spanning from Buttermere to Dalemain. The route passes through locations including Braithwaite, Blencathra, and Dockray.
Registration for this event is restricted to runners who have already secured a confirmed place in the Lakeland 100 or 50 2026 events. The day is intended to allow competitors to learn the course terrain and meet other participants before the main race.
The registration fee includes several services to assist runners during the day:
- 33 miles - Buttermere to Dalemain course section.
Participants are required to carry full mandatory kit as specified by the event regulations. The course is managed with specific cut-off times at checkpoints, and runners must maintain a sufficient level of fitness to meet these requirements. The organizer provides coach transport, medical support, and basic refreshments at the designated checkpoints.
