Whitehaven Harbour 5k
The Whitehaven Harbour 5k takes place in Whitehaven, Great Britain. It starts on the harbour front near a Tesco store. Registration takes place at the Harbour Youth Project, which is under a multi-car park and is a five-minute walk from the start. Registration opens at 5:45 PM. The maximum number of runners is 200.
The course is an officially measured and certified 5 km route. It is an out-and-back course along the harbour, heading towards the Beacon and Haig Pit before turning around. There is one climb in the candlestick area, which has some low walls and gravel sections. Apart from this climb, the course is flat.
Parking and toilets are available in Whitehaven. A safety briefing will be held before the start. Prizes are awarded for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd male and female finishers, with veteran prizes in five-year categories from age 35, and a junior prize for the 11-17 age group.
