L100 Recce 2: Ambleside - Coniston takes place on 17 January 2026 at Ambleside Primary School, Vicarage Road, Ambleside, Cumbria LA22 9DH. The event is organised by The Lakeland 50 & 100. Only competitors who have been confirmed as having a place in the Lakeland 100/50 2026 should enter; entries from others will be cancelled and fees refunded less a £5 administration charge.
Route and logistics
This recce is the evening or "night" section of the 50 and 100 mile courses, running from Ambleside to Coniston. The route is 16 miles in total. The entry fee includes coach transport, medical support and basic refreshments at checkpoints. Full kit is required and checkpoint cut off times are in place, so participants must be fit enough to meet those cut offs before starting.
