Lake Yahou - Anniston, AL
Lake Yahou is a trail race event on October 10, 2026, organized by Dirty Soles Trail Races at 370 Lake Yahou Road, Anniston, AL. The event is capped at 100 runners; a waitlist will open if the race sells out. Registration closes October 6.
The trails are mostly non-technical single-track dirt with rocks and roots. The course is generally runnable with a few sections containing rocks or boulders. Aid will be available at the start/finish and there will be either a self-serve water and snacks station or a full aid station about 3.8 miles in at the McClellan Trailhead, depending on volunteer availability. This is a cupless event; participants should provide their own container for liquids.
Distances
- 50K - three loops; elevation around 3000 feet; 10 hour cutoff.
- 10 miles - one loop, about 10.5 miles total; elevation around 1000 feet; 4 hour cutoff.
- 5.5 miles - single loop about 5.5 miles; elevation around 551 feet; 3 hour cutoff.
Each finisher who completes their registered distance receives a hand painted finisher rock. Awards are given to the top three female and top three male finishers per distance; runners who drop to a lower distance are not eligible for those awards. Long sleeve shirts are generally provided to runners who register before September 9. Packet pickup is on race day at the start line from 7:00am to 7:50am.
