Lake Yahou - Anniston, AL
Lake Yahou on October 10, 2026, offers trail races organized by Dirty Soles Trail Races at 370 Lake Yahou Road in Anniston, AL. The trails opened for recreation in May 2022 and are largely non-technical single-track dirt with occasional rocks and roots.
Distances include:
- 50K: three loop course, around 3000 feet elevation, 10 hour cutoff
- 10 Mile: one loop, about 10.5 miles total, around 1000 feet elevation, 4 hour cutoff
- 5.5 Mile: single loop near 5.5 miles, around 551 feet elevation, 3 hour cutoff
There will be a full aid station at the start and finish. A self serve water and snacks station or a full aid station is planned near the McClellan Trailhead depending on volunteer availability. This is a cupless event; participants must bring their own liquid container.
Each official finisher receives a hand painted finisher rock. Awards will go to the top three female and top three male finishers in each distance; finishing in a lower distance disqualifies a runner from top awards and from receiving a finisher rock. Long sleeve shirts are available to registrants who choose a size and register before September 9. Packet pickup takes place on race day at the start line. There are no refunds and no deferrals; transfers to another runner are possible by contacting the organizer. Finish area will include music, food and beverages.
