Lake to Ocean 100K
The Lake to Ocean 100K is a point to point trail race scheduled for May 30, 2026. The 100K course runs from the NENA trailhead in Port Mayaka to Hobe Sound beach and follows mostly single track remote trail.
The route passes through a sequence of Florida ecosystems, including ancient sand dunes with scrub oak and sand pine, pine flatwoods, palmetto, palm and oak hammocks, cypress domes, and wet prairies. Reported wildlife along the trail includes deer, alligators, otters, owls, snakes, bobcats, coyotes, and various Florida wading birds. In 2023, Outside online named the Lake to Ocean trail among the top 10 most beautiful trails.
There is an 18 hour strict time limit for the 100K. A crew is mandatory; crew stops are located at miles 15, 22, 31, 37, and 48. Organizers note that if an entrant is flying in without a crew, they will try to recruit one for that runner.
The event listing states the race is full and there is no waitlist. Registration closes Monday, May 25 at 11:59 PM ET. Finishers receive a finishers buoy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
