Lake to Ocean 100K : June 5, 2027
The Lake to Ocean 100K is a point-to-point trail race held in Port Mayaka, FL on June 5, 2027. The course starts at the NENA trailhead and finishes at Hobe Sound beach. The route is mostly single track and passes through remote trail sections.
The trail crosses multiple Florida ecosystems that change along the route, including ancient sand dunes with scrub oak and sand pine, pine flatwoods, palmetto and palm areas, oak hammocks, cypress domes, and wet prairies. Wildlife that may be present along the course includes deer, alligators, otters, owls, snakes, bobcats, coyotes, and various wading birds.
The event is organized by Mule Racing and uses a strict 18 hour time limit for the 100K distance. Crews are required for runners; organized crew support is available for participants who need it. Crew stops are located at 15, 22, 31, 37, and 48 miles along the course.
In 2023 Outside online named the Lake to Ocean trail one of the top 10 most beautiful trails in the world. Finishers receive a commemorative buoy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
