Lake to Ocean 100K, May 30, 2026
The Lake to Ocean is a 100K point to point trail race that runs from the NENA trailhead in Port Mayaka, Florida, to Hobe Sound beach on mostly single track remote trail. The course is presented as a destination trail route through varied natural areas.
The route passes through multiple ecosystems that change along the way, including ancient sand dunes with scrub oak and sand pine, pine flatwoods, palmetto and palm and oak hammocks, cypress domes, and wet prairies. Wildlife reported on the trail includes deer, alligators, otters, owls, snakes, bobcats, coyotes and various Florida wading birds. In 2023 Outside online listed the Lake to Ocean trail among the top 10 most beautiful trails in the world.
Logistics noted for the event include an 18 hour strict time limit and a requirement that each competitor has a crew. Crew access points are located at 15, 22, 31, 37 and 48 miles.
