50th Annual Lake to Lake 10k

The Lake to Lake 10k is a historic running event in Lakeland, Florida, organized by the Lakeland Runners Club. Established as the oldest annual race in Polk County, the event celebrates its 50th year in 2026. The course takes participants through residential streets and along paved running paths, passing through the historic Lake Morton district and encompassing three different lakes within the Lakeland chain of lakes.

The race utilizes a USATF-certified course (FL25020JK) and features professional chip-timing for all runners. Participants may observe local wildlife, including the resident swans on Lake Morton, while navigating the route. The event is open to both runners and walkers, provided they can maintain a minimum pace of 16:00 minutes per mile.

Registration includes options for:

  • 10k running race
  • Stroller Rider registration for children in strollers

The event is supported by the Denis L Fontaine Foundation, and a portion of the proceeds benefits the YMCA of Central Florida. Participants must collect race materials including bibs, shirts, and finisher medals in person, as the organizers do not offer a mailing service for these items. Unclaimed shirts are made available for exchange following the start of the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
