Lake Sammamish Half Marathon
The Lake Sammamish Half Marathon is a point-to-point race transitioning from Redmond to Sammamish. The course follows the East Lake Sammamish Trail, which features a fully paved surface. The route is characterized by flat terrain, making it a viable option for participants seeking a personal best time.
Participants can choose between two main formats:
- 13.1 miles (Half Marathon)
- 13.1 miles (Virtual Half Marathon)
The event includes a dedicated walk category for the half marathon distance, which carries a four-hour time limit. The race is chip-timed, and each participant receives a bib, a shirt, and a finisher medal. Aid stations are situated along the course at intervals of every few miles.
This event operates as a cupless race. Runners are required to use their own handheld bottles or hydration packs, though reusable cups are available at the start line. A virtual option is available for 30 participants, allowing the distance to be completed in one session or multiple segments on a date of the participant's choice. Virtual participants receive their medals and shirts via mail following the conclusion of the in-person event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
