Event Overview

The Thanksgiving Day Apple Cup 5K is the eighth annual edition of this event, held on Thanksgiving Day. It is a single 5K distance event at Green Lake Park in Seattle. The event is open to participants from ages 1 to 120.

Course Details

The course is a 5K on the paved loop around Green Lake. The final stretch goes around the ball fields, with a left-hand turn and a final 200 meters that is slightly downhill to the finish line. The terrain is described as flat.

Event Features

The event is chip-timed, with timing provided by Bell Lap Productions. Participants are encouraged to wear colors supporting local university teams or Thanksgiving-themed costumes. The event supports local food shelters; participants can bring non-perishable food items to donate.

Strollers are permitted, but dogs are not allowed due to insurance regulations. Awards are given to the top three finishers in each age category, separated by gender. Age categories range from 1-11 to 60+.
