The park covers 12,500 acres with over 30 miles of trail. Trail terrain varies from simple and flat to moderately difficult sections with rocks and roots. The 5-mile event does not have an aid station.
Drop bags are allowed for the 100-mile and 100K at the Start/Finish and at the Buzzards Roost aid station. Time limits are set by distance: the 100-mile course has a 32-hour limit and the 100K has a 27-hour limit; shorter distances are expected to finish the same day. Pacers are permitted for the 100-mile and 100K at specified mile points or once it is dark, with exchanges only at Tipps Point or Buzzards Roost. Registration credit and transfer rules apply when cancelling within specified time windows. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
