Freeport LNG Firecracker 4 : Lake Jackson, TX
The Firecracker 4 is a running and walking event held on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Dunbar Park, 803 FM 2004, Lake Jackson, Texas 77566. The event program includes multiple distances and a dedicated kids program.
Distances
- 4 miles run
- 2 miles walk
- 1000 m and 500 m kids runs for ages 12 and under
The course is open to vehicular traffic; organizers note there will be room for both runners and vehicles and that traffic is expected to be light during the event. Water is provided at approximately the 1 mile mark, just past the 2 mile mark, and at the 3 mile mark. Toilets are located at the start near the pavilion.
Awards are given overall and to masters, with top three awards in age groups including 14 and under, 15-19, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s and 70 plus. Shirts are not included in race fees. Post-race food and drinks are provided. Packet pick up is available at Dunbar Park Pavilion on the days before and on the day of the event.
The Kids Run is open to children 12 and under; all kids participants receive a free T-shirt and a finisher medal. Proceeds go to District 2S4 Lions Charities, a 501c3 organization. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
