Lake Jackson Firecracker 4
The event takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Dunbar Park in Lake Jackson, Texas (803 FM 2004). It includes a 4 mile run, a 2 mile walk and children’s races for participants 12 and under. Distances offered:
- 4 miles run
- 2 miles walk
- 1000 meters kids run for ages 7 to 12
- 500 meters kids run for ages 6 and under
The course is open to vehicular traffic on the roads, with organizers noting that there will be room for both runners and vehicles and that traffic is expected to be light. Water is available on course at the 1 mile point, just past the 2 mile point, and at the 3 mile point. Portable toilets are located at the start near the pavilion.
Packet pick up is available at Dunbar Park Pavilion the day before the event and the morning of the event. Awards are given for overall and masters places and top three in multiple age groups including 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s and 70 plus. Shirts are not included in race fees. The kids races include free t shirts and finisher medals for participants. Proceeds are donated to the Brazosport Evening Lions Club to support Brazosport area activities.
