Gulf Coast Grind - Surfside Beach
Gulf Coast Grind is set for April 18, 2026 at Surfside Beach, Texas. The event offers run or ruck options over multiple distances and limits entries to 400 participants. All finishers receive medals and event merchandise.
Distances offered include:
- 50K
- Marathon (26.2 miles)
- Half marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10K
- 5K
The course runs along the water on hard packed sand at Surfside Beach, with the start and finish located near Seagull Ave public beach access at 3312 County Rd 257, Surfside Beach, TX 77541.
There are two full aid stations located at mile 5 and at the start/finish area. Aid station provisions include drinks such as water, Gatorade, and electrolyte mix; sodas; sweet and salty snacks; sandwiches and burrito rolls; fruit; and basic medical supplies. NSAIDs such as ibuprofen are not available at aid stations. No disposable cups are provided, so participants should plan to use reusable cups, bottles, or hydration packs.
Drop bags may be left at a designated tarp area at the main aid station and will be transported to mile 5. Pacers are not permitted. The event enforces a 12 hour overall cutoff and requires runners to begin their final loop by the stated cutoff time.
Awards are given to the top three overall in each distance, top three ruckers in each distance, and top two masters 50 plus in each distance. Awards are presented in male, female, and non binary categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
