Run for the Dogs - Glenview takes place on April 18, 2026 in Glenview, Illinois at Blue Star Memorial Woods, Grove 1, near E Lake Avenue east of Wagner Road. The event is a 5K on a fast, flat, paved route through the Blue Star Memorial Woods Preserve.
Proceeds from the event support Chicagoland Lab Rescue, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization focused on rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing dogs in the Chicagoland area, with an emphasis on Labrador Retrievers.
Registration includes a T-shirt, finisher medal, dog charm, 5K run or walk entry, a chip timed race bib, and live race results. The event is timed and scored by J3 Timing and results will be posted at J3Timing.com. Finish line treats are provided for both humans and dogs.
Participants may run or walk with pets; any participating pet must be on a short lead and well behaved. A virtual participation option is offered for those who cannot attend in person. Awards are given overall to male and female winners and to the top three finishers in standard age groups, including youth and senior divisions.
