Lake Country Half Marathon
The Lake Country Half Marathon takes place on August 29, 2026, in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. The event uses a lakeside route that begins at the Village Green in downtown Oconomowoc and finishes at City Beach on the shore of Lac La Belle.

The course runs north along the isthmus between Fowler Lake and Lac La Belle, then heads west through the Village of Lac La Belle and along the shoreline before opening onto countryside roads. The return route follows the lake’s western edge back toward Wisconsin Avenue, with a final flat approach to the finish at City Beach.
On-course support includes two aid stations plus a finish-line station; all will provide water and Gatorade. Packet pickup is held at City Beach on race day; participants should have their receipt QR code accessible on a mobile device or saved as an image. Every finisher receives a custom Lake Country Challenge medal. Top overall male and female finishers in each event receive a handcrafted award from a local woodworker, and the top three finishers in 5-year age groups receive custom awards. The ruck division is timed but designated noncompetitive and does not include age group awards. Walkers are welcome and asked to keep to the right of the road. Pets are not allowed.
