Lake Country Half Marathon
The Lake Country Half Marathon takes place in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, and includes three distance options: a half marathon, an 8 mile run, and an 8 mile ruck. The event route starts at Village Green in downtown Oconomowoc, follows the isthmus between Fowler Lake and Lac La Belle, passes through the Village of Lac La Belle along the shoreline, and continues on quiet countryside roads before returning along the lake’s western edge to finish at City Beach on the shore of Lac La Belle.
Course features include downtown sections, extended lake views, and countryside roads. Every finisher receives a custom Lake Country Half medal. Top overall male and female finishers in each event receive a handcrafted award provided by Ridgeway Woodworks. The top three male and female finishers in each 5-year age group receive custom place awards.
Additional event details: packet pickup is at City Beach and requires the participant receipt with a scannable QR code; walkers and families are welcome and are asked to keep to the right so runners can pass on the left; t shirts are gender specific and participants registered by August 13 are guaranteed a custom race shirt while supplies last; pets are not allowed due to municipal ordinance; refunds are not permitted. Volunteers receive a free entry to a future race as a thank-you for their assistance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
