Lake Country Half Marathon
The Lake Country Half Marathon is an event in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, centered on Lac La Belle. The program on August 29, 2026 includes three event types:
- 8-Mile Run
- Half Marathon
- 8 Mile Ruck
All races start at the Village Green in downtown Oconomowoc and finish at City Beach on the shores of Lac La Belle. The course follows an isthmus between Fowler Lake and Lac La Belle, continues through the Village of Lac La Belle along the shoreline, and then moves onto countryside roads. The return section follows the lake’s western edge back toward Wisconsin Avenue and concludes along the beach.
There are two on-course aid stations located near Oconomowoc Parkway and Silver Cedar, plus an aid station at the finish line; all stations provide water and Gatorade. A free fresh fruit bar is available at the finish.
Ruck participants carry a weighted pack; ruck divisions are timed but are not competitive and do not receive age group awards. All finishers receive a custom finisher medal or finisher woodle, and the top overall male and female finishers in each event receive handcrafted awards from Ridgeway Woodworks. T-shirts are gender specific and guaranteed for entrants registered by noon on August 14th while supplies last.
Pets are not permitted due to municipal ordinance. The event is produced and managed by Silver Circle Sports Events. Refunds are not permitted under the event policy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
