Turkey Trot 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon at Lake Balboa / Woodley Park
This event takes place at Woodley Park Section I, 6340–6350 Woodley Ave, Van Nuys, CA 91436 on November 26, 2026. The organizer offers multiple race distances and on-site amenities for participants and spectators.
Distances offered:
- 5k (one loop)
- 10k (two loops)
- 15k (three loops)
- Half marathon (three extended 5k loops)
The course follows marked loops around the park path and is described as easy to follow. It is primarily an out-and-back loop format with one small hill about 0.6 miles from the start. There is an aid station at every loop. A time limit of 3 hours 15 minutes applies; participants who need additional time may arrange an early start with the organizer.
Registration includes custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free photos and videos, posted results within 12 to 24 hours, and a selection of snacks and samples. Bib pickup is offered in two options the day before and on race morning at locations in Woodley Park Section 1; check-in tables are at the north end of the parking lots closest to Victory Blvd off Woodley Ave. Additional parking is available in a dirt overflow lot near the golf course.
All participants must finish through the pedestrian tunnel and should not cross Woodley Ave. Official times and places will be posted after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
