Event Overview
The Lago Mar Multisport Festival is a two-day athletic event held in Texas City at a crystal-clear lagoon. The festival features a variety of multi-sport disciplines, including triathlons and duathlons for different age groups and skill levels. Both the start and finish lines are situated at the edge of the lagoon. Participants receive an all-day pass to LagoonFest Texas as part of their registration.
Saturday Events
The first day focuses on youth competitions and a running event:
- 5k Run: An all-ages running event.
- Lago Mar Youth Triathlon-Short Course: Open to participants aged 5-10.
- Lago Mar Youth Triathlon-Long Course: Open to participants aged 11-16.
Sunday Events
The second day features adult and competitive series events:
- Sprint Triathlon: Includes a 500m lagoon swim, 12-mile bike ride, and 5k run.
- Duathlon: Consists of a 1.2-mile run, 12-mile bike ride, and 5k run.
- Sprint Relay: A team-based version of the sprint distance.
- USAT Paratriathlon Nationals Qualifier Series: A competitive qualifying event for paratriathletes.
