Ladybower Reservoir Trails
Ladybower Reservoir Trails is a trail running festival on 26 September 2026 based at Hope Village in the Peak District. The event uses clearly marked routes with trail flags, tags, A5 arrows and signage, and provides GPX files so participants can check and self-navigate if needed.
Routes run over a mix of upland moor, reservoir edges, forest tracks and riverside paths. The shorter route climbs Win Hill for views across Hope Valley, then descends into forest and follows riverside sections toward the Thornhill Trail before returning through Aston to the finish in Hope. The longer route also summits Win Hill then follows the edges of Ladybower, Derwent and Howden reservoirs, crosses upland sections including Back Tor, Derwent Edge and Whinstone Lee Tor, and returns via the Thornhill Trail.
On-course support includes stocked aid stations and marshals at major junctions. Results are chip timed. Entries include a unique themed medal, free race photos and post-race goodies. An event village provides food and drink options and partner freebies near the finish.
Organisers note that trail routes can be affected by weather, walkers and wildlife. Sustainability is identified as a developing focus for the organiser. A discounted event t-shirt is available through a partner kit provider as an optional purchase. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
