Ladies 10K - Ipplepen
The Ladies 10K is a women-only road race that starts and finishes at Ipplepen Village Hall, Biltor Road, Ipplepen, Devon TQ12 5QQ. The course follows undulating rural lanes with very little traffic and passes Orley Common, Reeveacre Cross, Two Bridges, a lane beside the railway, Yarneford Copse and Biltor Cross before returning to the village hall.
The event has a strict race limit of 300 entrants; entries on the day are only accepted if the limit has not been reached. Minimum age is 15. Entry fees are shown for affiliated and unaffiliated runners, and under 18s enter free. There is plenty of free parking and toilets at the village hall.
Drinks are provided at approximately 3 miles and at the finish. The course is marshalled and medical cover is in attendance. Music headphones or earphones are not permitted during the race; runners who ignore this rule will be disqualified.
All finishers receive a bespoke watercolour print and free race photos are provided. Cakes are available for sale at race headquarters. Prizes include a trophy and original watercolour for the winner, large watercolour prints for runners placing second through fifth, age-category awards for 1st and 2nd in specified veteran groups, and team prizes for affiliated teams (four to count).
